
Iiris Puustinen (b. 2000) is a Finnish freelance dance artist and performer based between Helsinki and Copenhagen. She has studied dance and choreography at The Theatre Academy of The University of The Arts Helsinki and The Danish National School of Performing arts receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2023.
Iiris is working extensively and internationally within the fields of dance, choreography & performing arts. In 2023 she was one of the artists selected for Amos Rex museums Generation 23 exhibition with her debut choreography "3,2,1 (The Walk)". Her latest solo work "Still we play it" premiered as part of Avis de Tempête; Raccords festival in Paris, France in 2025. In recent years she has also taken part in theatre and opera productions such as West Side Story at Savoy Theatre and Don Giovanni and The Ostrobothnians at Finnish National Opera and Ballet.
By combining contemporary dance making with her own extensive movement language she creates unique, current and multidimensional performances. Her artistic work is an exploration of themes of identity and existence, internet phenomena and popular culture and is an ongoing study of the body-mind connection.
Iiris´ professional career started at the age of 16. With a previous training focusing in jazz, show and street dance she became versatile mover. She started working in the commercial field performing with front line artists in TV productions and live concerts as well as cruise shows and events. Now her gaze is in contemporary dance yet she continues practicing in a variety of styles and techniques.
