Iiris Puustinen (b. 2000) is a Finnish freelance dance artist based in Helsinki & Copenhagen, working internationally.
She has studied dance & choreography at The Theatre Academy of The University of The Arts Helsinki & The Danish National School of Performing arts receiving Bachelor of Arts degree in 2023.
Iiris began her career as a professional dancer in 2016. Today in addition, she is exploring artistry through her own choreographic work. She was one of the artists selected for Amos Rex museum´s Generation 23 exhibition and her debut choreography "3,2,1 (The Walk)" premiered at Amos Rex in 2023. Her latest solo work "Still we play it" had an international premiere in Paris, France in 2025. By combining contemporary dance making with her own extensive movement language Iiris creates unique, current and multidimensional performances. Her artistic work is an exploration of themes of identity and existence, internet phenomena and popular culture and is an ongoing study of the body-mind connection.
In recent years she has also taken part in theatre and opera productions such as “West Side Story” at Savoy Theatre and “Don Giovanni” and “The Ostrobothnians” at Finnish National Opera and Ballet.
